Merry Christmas, How Are You?
Merry Christmas, How Are You?
Allan J. Comeau (Mind Matters Music / BMI) & Loni Specter (Lonster Music / BMI)

Merry Christmas, how are you?
Have you seen the sunrise this day?
And breathed deep the spirit of truth and light?
That brightens our lives every day?

Merry Christmas, how are you?
Are you hungry or thirsty or cold?
Won’t you come to my table and sit if you’re able,
Relax and stay for a while?

Merry Christmas, how are you?
I know you’ve been gone a long time.
But, you’re welcome back home—my hearth is your own,
I can tell you, you’ve been on my mind

What is Merry Christmas for?
If we can’t stop the wars,
If we can’t keep the peace, anger’s so-hard-to release,
So-much greed, and fear and want,
Pain and suffering bought,
Is that the price we pay, for living-only for today?

Merry Christmas, how are you?
Was it great, that long visit with your dad
So much time has passed, but you’re back-with-us at last,
Thank you Jesus, for coming again.

Merry Christmas, how are you?
I know you’ve been gone a long time.
But, you’re welcome back home—my hearth is your own,
I can tell you, you’ve been on my mind

Merry Christmas, how are you?
Could you help us to find the way?
To love one another, like sisters and brothers,
One family, one world, some day?
