This song was pitched to me by Carl. I knew the moment I first heard it, I loved it and wanted to cut it. The lyrics tell a story that resonates with any artist here in Nashville trying to make a living do what we love. I think we all ask ourselves at some point, should we pawn our old guitars and catch the next greyhound bus to go home. To the rest of the world, I may look like "just another Alice" here in Wonderland, but the music life is no easy trip and certainly not Wonderland. That's why I decided to add the tag line... "Am I" just another Alice, here in Wonderland." What a song!! Wish I was the one to write it! Well done, Ladd Smith and Don Goodman.
