This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and dream come true to write with Tom T and Dixie Hall. They didn't do much co-writing, they always kept it in the family. Well, thankfully, they consider me family. I worked as a housekeeper for Tom T. and Dixie for 5 years, and they always treated me with the deepest respect as an artist, so they wanted to help me tell my story of growing up in a family band. I sat down with them after work one evening, and the song was written within 2 hours. The next day, Tom T. sat at the sound board in his studio, while I sang in the booth to make our demo. When I got through singing the song, Tom T. said "another gold record" and laughed like he always would. To me, it was gold... Writing and recording a song with Tom T. and Miss Dixie about my family. Doesn't get much better than that right there.
