Bonfire Music Group is thrilled to announce the release of a new single from the talented Irish-born singer/songwriter Áine Burns. Her latest offering, a Roots/Bluegrass-inspired rendition of The Cranberries' hit "Linger," is now available for download and streaming. This unique cover pays homage to the original, which was co-written by Dolores O'Riordan and Noel Hogan, and was a Top Ten hit in the US.

Produced by Áine’s husband, the critically acclaimed musician Danny Burns, this new version of "Linger" blends the soulful essence of Bluegrass with the nostalgic melodies of the Grammy-nominated Irish band. Danny’s expert production, combined with Áine’s powerful and emotive vocals, brings a fresh and heartfelt take on the beloved classic.

Áine Burns’ musical journey began in her hometown of Bundoran, Ireland, where she was raised in a vibrant musical environment. Her mother’s performances with various Country and Western bands, along with the eclectic live music at her family’s pub The Chasin’ Bull, deeply influenced her musical style. Áine’s passion for music was further ignited when she received a copy of The Pogues’ album Rum Sodomy and the Lash, which has been a significant inspiration in her sound.

Throughout her career, Áine has seamlessly blended her Irish roots with Americana, Bluegrass, and Roots music. Her previous single, "I’m A Man You Don’t Meet Every Day," showcased her unique ability to breathe new life into traditional tunes, serving as her first introduction into the Bluegrass world.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Áine is a dedicated educator and mother of four. During the pandemic, she established an online music school for children, sharing her love for music with the next generation. Áine and Danny Burns also opened The Celt, a new music venue and Irish pub in Charleston, S.C., where they continue to foster a sense of community and celebration of music.
