The Fool on the Hill
The Fool on the Hill

was written and produced by Achim Schultz for the Australian artist “Rumpel Fool” alias Jolly Goodfellow, who performed Paul McCartney’s “Fool on the Hill” at the Mirage in Las Vegas.
In the Beatles Show “Love” (Cirque du Soleil at the Mirage) in Las Vegas, Jolly had two performances per day in this stage show in his own unique choreography .
Achim met Jolly Goodfellow when his saw the show in Las Vegas, just when the management decided to cancel the song “Fool on the Hill” from the playlist, because they needed an equal balance of Lennon and McCartney song titles and because they only wanted No. 1 titles in this show.
Quincy Jones, Liza Minelli, Tom Cruise and many others congratulated Jolly for the apparent success of his congenial performance in his full costume.
Jolly and many people in the audience were very sad and disappointed about this decision. Therefore, Achim picked up the rhythm of the song and wrote a new version of “The Fool on the Hill” for his friend. Jolly was very happy and joyous about this, because now, after the “Love”-Era is over, he is able to make his own unique acrobatic dance performance shows with Achim’s version of the song.

N.B.
When we heard about Jolly Goodfellow’s recent bad car accident, when he drove to a Charity Fool-Festival in the desert of Nevada and that he has no health insurance in the U.S., we spontaneously decided to donate a few hundred single CD’s at his disposal.
Jolly also is very generous and often giving donations for charity purposes, for example here in Europe for Kosovo orphans. Now it’s our turn and we are trying to help him.
