AND ANOTHER THING Coco Montoya started his career playing drums in Albert Collins’ band in the early ’70s, which allowed him to pick up many of Collins’ guitar techniques. A stint playing guitar on three albums with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers preceded a solo career that dates back to Montoya’s 1995 debut release. I Want It All Back, his seventh CD, shows Montoya stepping outside the blues.
