AND ANOTHER THING Last year, in an episode of Fox-TV’s Bones, one of the characters made a mix tape of “the six greatest break-up songs”; the songs were by Sia, Mazzy Star, José González, Antony And The Johnsons and an unsigned singer/songwriter/pianist from Seattle named Aaron English. You can’t buy publicity like that. English’s third album, American [Fever] Dream, was recorded in a studio located in the converted boiler room of a 150-year-old Seattle warehouse.

QUOTE “[Aaron English is] a talented new artist in a class with other stylistically challenging singer-songwriters such as Peter Gabriel, Joseph Arthur, and Perry Blake…potent lyricism, eloquence, and beautiful sublime melodies that reach much deeper than simple pop songs.” —Progression Magazine
