AND ANOTHER THING In 2009, Joe Bonamassa was named Best Blues Guitarist by Guitar Player magazine readers for the third straight year; his CD, The Ballad Of John Henry, topped the Billboard blues chart for six months; and Eric Clapton jammed with him onstage at Bonamassa’s concert at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Bonamassa recorded his eighth studio album, Black Rock, in Santorini, Greece, and brought in some Greek musicians to add a bit of a “world” flavor here and there.

QUOTE “[Bonamassa is] a certifiable blues guitar hero and the face of his blues generation.” —Guitar Edge
