AND ANOTHER THING Before settling on her chosen career as a singer/songwriter, Texas-born/Long Island-raised Malea McGuinness studied opera at such prestigious institutions as Tanglewood, the Oberlin Conservatory and the Manhattan School of Music. After landing a featured role on Broadway in The King And I, Malea relocated to Los Angeles, taught herself guitar and concentrated on writing her own songs. Close As Air follows up her debut CD, 2007’s True Believer.
