Jesse Lynn Madera - I'll Be Home for Christmas (live)
“Jesse has a voice as clear and mellifluous as the first songbird of Springtime. Her songs are intoxicatingly hypnotic. Close your eyes, let it all go and listen. When you wake up, the world will look a little brighter.” ~ Robert Earl Keen

“I’ve always loved ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas,’” says Jesse Lynn Madera, who has interpreted the 1943 hit for Bing Crosy live as her new single. “There’s such hope in this song, and it’s the kind of hope that feels particularly resonant right now as we all enter into what is hopefully the most normal holiday season we’ve celebrated in years. Recording this live with Leah Zeger (fiddle) and Stevie Blacke (producer, engineer, mixer and guitar) was a blast. We were filming it just for a fun thing to put out on social media during the holidays - but when I heard the audio back, I loved what we did so much that I just had to release it. I love the space in the production, as well as the swing of it - it’s sexy with lovely conviction. Leah and Stevie are two of the greatest session players around, so of course they nailed it which made it very fun for me to sing.”
