I wrote this following the shootings in a gay night club in Orlando, Florida in 2016, with the recognition that we MUST learn to get along, and that we are ALL immigrant sons and daughters in this country (unless we are descendants of the first people).

“The Final Word (Is Gonna Be Love)” is based on a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King: “I refuse to accept the premise that mankind is so tragically bound to the starless midnight of racism and war, that the bright daybreak of peace and brotherhood can never become a reality. I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word.” And so it is.
