Artist Profile
Webster's dictionary defines: ‘ivory tower’ as: a figurative place of mental withdrawal from reality. The phrase is used as a symbol of escapism. Independent recording artists: Ivory Tower Project are a new breed of old school rockers. New, original music that was inspired by those who love the Classic Pop/Rock artists of the 70s and 80s. They have a retro sound. The core members are the songwriting team of Johnny Jace and Mark Regula and the guitar work of Tony Novarro. Ivory Tower Project (aka: ITP) had started out as a band, but as members left, they were replaced by the NY Metro area's finest studio musicians. This has transcended them into a recording studio project. Notable contributors to the recordings are: Ivan Elias on bass (formerly with Patty Smyth and Scandal) and Richie Cannata on sax (formerly with Billy Joel). ITP's debut CD release: ‘RED HOT has received rave reviews and air play on over 600 radio stations in 32 countries.
