No Questions Asked
The new collection contains 14 songs, all written and arranged by Gaudet except for three covers and one song co-written with Caroline "Motherjudge" Isachsen.
Once again, Jim Gaudet set out to showcase his band on this album and they are joined by Kevin Maul on Dobro who contributed his accomplished musicianship as an “honorary” Railroad Boy.

“No Questions Asked” is the band’s second venture on the rails together and is a collection of memorable, hard driving, original compositions, featuring authentic three-part harmony and stellar musicianship. The CD captures the spirit of the RR Boys while positioning the listener to what will surely continue to be a promising journey.

On the band's latest release "No Questions Asked" one might imagine that Jim Gaudet and the late Joseph Campbell compared notes on the perils of the human condition. In Jim's stories the same guy keeps showing up and we KNOW this guy, he's always a "dollar short" or just coming back from "lonesome town." In the title track "No Questions Asked" we get hints of the dreamer who finds himself right back where he started and at times Gaudet's voice has the cadence of southern speech, slow and deliberate.

”No Questions Asked” was engineered and produced by Sten Isachesen at Bender Studios and mastered by Scott Pettito at NRS Recording Studio.

Just two years after the release of their first CD,"So Far So Good", the Railroad Boys are back with fourteen tracks of toe tapping, finger snapping, hip shaking tunes. The CD starts with "This Town Blues" which describes a man who's stuck in a town that he can't figure out how he wound up in. Track four "Take Me Back" has a similar landscape of longing and regret. "No Questions Asked", a lone acoustic guitar kicks off the tune peppered with a little tasty violin and a dash of mandolin. The protagonist confesses he's a "day late, dollar short - a common theme." It's here about half way through the disc that I feel like I'm watching one of my favorite westerns, it could be "Tombstone" or "High Plains Drifter" or any others like those but it's the man they clearly paint, the one who's got all his "cards on the table." The boys also added a few covers (The Battle of New Orleans and The Bottle Let Me Down) as well as an inspirational titled “A Song For Father Young.” I give Gaudet lots of credit for his lyrical whimsy in tunes like "Handle The Truth" which I've heard the band perform many times. I'm not sure what woman wouldn't love this line “I may not be Fred Flintstone but I can make your bed rock.” Know what I'm sayin............... Nancy Walker, Saratoga Booking
