Biography

Born in Beckley, WV June,30 1972. Grew up in a really small town called Lanark, WV and still reside in Lanark with my wife Kim. I have a daughter, three stepsons, and a granddaughter that is my world. I was an Auto Refinish Technician for 27 years until the chemicals caused Parkinson’s Disease and I was forced to quit. I always played around with music but nothing serious until about 4 or five years ago I picked up the guitar again and started writing gospel music out of nowhere. I had just beaten a twelve year battle with alcoholism and started writing songs that would relate to someone in my old shoes and try to help them. I’ll never forget the first time I sang the first gospel song I had written in a church and saw grown men balling and heard some even shouting and that’s when I knew I was doing what the Lord wants me to do. That’s when I started Lanark Song Factory. There’s no better feeling as someone telling you your song convinced them to live for the Lord. That’s why I do what I do.
