Biography
World-class Baritone and Nashville recording artist, David Britton, is set to release his second album “David Britton Christmas” in time for the 2014 holiday season. David brings together a mix of styles based on his extremely diverse influences, creating a pop-classical sound with a twist, to wrap in the timeless classics.  The result is a poignant collection of cozy favorites and a blend of powerful and intimate moments, all wrapped up for Christmas.

David Britton was born and raised on an island called Bonaire. He developed his love for singing as a missionary kid while singing in churches around the world with his family. He studied piano as a kid and by the time he was in high school at the Black Forest Academy in Germany, he picked up drumming and trumpet as well. It was here where he was inspired by Christian rock bands and began writing his own tunes. He was apart of a school Christian rock band where he was the drummer and a songwriter. Later in his high school years he toured around Europe with various musical groups playing trumpet and drums.

By the time he was in college he began studying classical voice and majored in Vocal Performance at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA. It was here where he discovered a love for opera and art song and started getting roles in local operas, operettas and concerts. Additionally, he toured extensively with a band as a singer/drummer, throughout college performing in such diverse venues as rescue missions, prisons, retirement communities, churches and juvenile detention centers. Because of his extensive overseas life experiences and witnessing peoples’ hard ships first hand throughout these various venues around the world, David felt compelled to write songs that would inspire and comfort those experiencing hardships.

After college, he continued to refine his voice by studying at the Conservatory of Music in San Francisco where he earned his Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance. He performed in operas and concerts extensively throughout the Bay Area, the United States and overseas for several years until he was called away from music to pursue a career in the fraud prevention space, while he and his wife, Jennifer were raising their young family. The Brittons moved to Scottsdale, Arizona for David’s new job working for a fraud prevention start-up company, where he’s been a notable expert in the field of fraud for the past several years. Additionally, he has been a member of the Scottsdale Bible Church choir and Worship Team since 2008.

About a year ago, David felt a strong pull to get back to his musical roots. He felt compelled to pursue a life-long dream to get into the studio and make an album, which is where he’s balanced his time between working full-time as a V.P. of Industry Solutions for the 41st Parameter by day, and spending every other minute making the album, singing in the SBC choir or spending time with his family. Now, after ten months, he is proud to release his debut album, “Hold Fast” to the world. The songs he chose for the album were specifically selected to offer a message of hope and comfort. Additionally, he wrote the title track, “Hold Fast” which was inspired by true events from his own life as well as those of friends who have experienced similar hardships.
