Cara’s personality arrives ten minutes before she does! She and her top-notch band of world-class musicians have entertained crowds at festivals and night spots all over Middle Tennessee for many years with high energy blues music and lots of laughs, recently touring the UK and Italy. This expert, dynamic, and engaging band is fronted by native Bostonian, Cara Lippman who was mentored by the great late Shirley Lewis, Regal Queen of the Blues of Boston. Cara relocated to Nashville over a decade ago to hone her live performance skills. In no time on the local Music City blues scene, she was bestowed the titles of “Jam Queen,” “Nashville Blues Society Jambassador,” and “Empress of the Blues.” Cara founded the world-famous Tuesday Pro Blues Jam in 2015 and continues to host with her band every week. With riveting and storied special guests, and expert professionals from all over the world, the jam has been featured on the Taiwanese TV program, “Music Everywhere” (2018) and the Canadian TV program, “RiseUp TV” (2019). She and her band were nominated Best Live Blues Band or Best Blues Artist four years in a row by the Nashville Industry Music Awards (NIMA). Cara continues to win the hearts and respect of the local industry, blues radio, her peers and fans with the way she lights up a stage and genuinely values her band, jammers, and listeners. Early in 2016, Cara was honored by the Tennessee Rhythm and Blues Society for her contribution to blues music in Middle Tennessee. In late 2018, Cara was voted into the office of Secretary with the new Nashville Blues & Roots Alliance, and in early 2019, she was appointed Executive Assistant to the CEO of the National Museum of African American Music, opening in the heart of downtown Nashville in mid-2020. Cara released her debut EP, Full Throttle, in 2016 and her first full-length album, Grit, in 2019. Grit debuted at #18 on the Roots Music Report’s Top 50 Blues Rock Albums for the week of March 9th, 2019, making over a dozen Top Album charts in the US, England, Italy, and France, accompanied by dozens of glowing reviews.
