Cleveland-based National Touring Irish rebel & folk duo, Achill Crossing are married in music & in life. They have spent the past 16 years performing, composing & harmonizing together. Brent & Brittany have toured extensively throughout the states with many groups, including The Brittany Reilly Band, playing music ranging from Blues & Bluegrass to Honky-Tonk & Rock & Roll.

Achill Crossing came into fruition when collaborating with cousins from Ireland. While learning the basics of Irish folk music & performing the songs both new to them & those that Brittany grew up on, they found a need for a band name! They landed on ‘Achill Crossing’ as the bridge between the past & present, as well as their Irish heritage & American roots.

The group, which is releasing their first full-length album as Achill Crossing The Rising of The Moon, continues to bridge that gap by bringing new life to old traditional songs, as well as keeping bluegrass & American folk flavors to their arrangements. Multi-instrumentalist, Brent Hopper has a diverse & extensive background in music that he demonstrates on guitar, mandolin, & vocals. They are joined on this album by the highly regarded banjo player/musician, Damaris Woods, of The Young Wolfe Tones.
With 14 songs on the album, they feature some favorite traditional folk ballads & patriotic songs, while also paying tribute to Ireland’s fallen heroes. The band continues to stay true to their musical & ancestral roots with a bluegrass twist on Courtin’ in The Kitchen & Whiskey Before Breakfast.

With their upcoming release, the duo will be getting back on the road to support the album, covering a lot of the United States and a tour in Ireland in the works as well.
