Biography
The Krickets are a female Americana group from the gulf coast who's music is what Paste Magazine called a "a truly stunning, one-of-a-kind sound."  Touring primarily in the southeast US, a couple notable 2018 performances included a SXSW official showcase for the Folk Alliance International, a slot at the SPGBMA Bluegrass Convention, and a Scenes Media Live Performance Session released in June. Fresh out of the studio, the band just finished their sophomore album entitled 'Redbird.'  Produced by Grammy nominee Sam Ashworth (Joy Williams, The Lone Bellow) and recorded at Brown Owl Studios in Nashville, this album has everything from traditional country to folk rock all steeped in harmony and earthy instrumentation.

In addition to the brand new album, they also recorded a new Christmas single with Grammy Winner Jerry Salley. The upbeat and joyful version of the classic 'Winter Wonderland' is a great addition to any holiday playlist. Check that single out here

2016 IMA Folk Song of the Year winner for their single "Cool Cool Water,"  The Krickets released their first album "Spanish Moss Sirens" in May of 2016.  Produced by Ben Tanner of the Alabama Shakes and recorded in Muscle Shoals, the album debuted at #1 on Amazon's ‘Best Sellers’, ‘Movers and Shakers’ and ‘Modern Folk’ charts.   They were also named the 2016 IMEA Folk Artist of the Year.   Check out Spanish Moss Sirens here.

The group originally came together to play a cancer benefit in honor of Cristina "Cricket" Russell.  Now, they are able to support the cause by donating a portion of every album sale to The Cricket Fund and Beyond which provides women's health services to the uninsured.

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
