Biography

Tedd Graves was born at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Tellico Plains TN, and now resides in Friendsville TN. During his years as a professional entertainer, Tedd has performed at many well known venues such as Billy Bob's in Ft. Worth, TX, headlined at Boulder Station Casino in Las Vegas, Carter Fold in Hiltons VA, The Bijou Theater in Knoxville TN, and has been a guest on the Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree on WSM Radio in Nashville. Tedd was an integral part, both as headlining performer and promoter, of the 52 year long running Tennessee Valley Barn Dance, for the last 8 years of it’s run!
Tedd Graves has also been the opening act for more than 50 major country music stars including George Jones, Billy Dean, Shenandoah, Gene Watson, Johnny Paycheck, Jack Greene, and many more.
Tedd Graves is a recording artist on Skytone Records in Nashville. Previously on Sims Records of Nashville, Graves had 7 national releases going to almost 1000 radio stations across America! One of Tedd's national releases "Jesus Please Take Your Pen in Hand" broke into the top 100 gospel charts. On January 8th, 2015, Tedd had his 8th national release, (and 1st international release!) with "A Man So Loved", on Skytone Records, and received airplay around the world, including Great Britain, South America and here in The United States!

With Tedd Graves, music is a family affair! His uncle, Uncle Josh Graves, was known as King of the Dobro, and was an inductee into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame. Tedd’s brother Tim Graves has won Dobro Player of the Year 14 times, and is in the Hall of Fame for SPBGMA.
In November 2018, Tedd was presented an award by the #1 Bluegrass Band in America, The Farm Hands. Their Album was named album of the year for 2018, and Tedd’s song “Colors” was the title cut of that album!
In April 2019, Graves released his 19th album – “Too Young To Care” – and it is available on all media outlets, including I-tunes, Apple Music, CD Baby and many more. This CD features 12 fresh original songs, 8 of which Tedd wrote or co-wrote.
