Sean Dampte, given names Oluwaseun Oluyole, is a Nigerian-born, U.K. based Afro Pop artiste who was formerly known as Dampte. One of 5 siblings and the 3rd in his family pursuing entertainment.
Sean Dampte began recording at quite a young age and like a number of other artistes started off in the choir. He discovered and honed his innate talent for rhymes, word play, metaphors and his ability to weave those words into songs.
Sean Dampte, no doubt, has earned some reputation for his ability to get people grooving to his music with his stellar combination of Afrobeat, Pop and Dancehall to produce what is often termed Afro Fusion
He is regarded as one of the pioneers of the Afrofusion sound having released his first Single titled J-E-S-U-S in 1999 with Rocksteady. While his first solo single would take another 8 years to materialize, which he titled Wapa (Doing Good), this did not take the ENERGY out of him. It must be noted that 6 months before his first solo single, Sean Dampte dropped a monster hit single titled ‘Wine Your Tinkolo’ featuring YQ. “Wine Your Tinkolo” shot Sean Dampte to the limelight The single which was released in 2009 climbed various charts across Nigeria and internationally. After which he released his first and single solo album till date titled ‘Las Gidi Certified’. In 2011, he featured up and coming T-Pain’s - Nappy Boy Records - Superstar Tay Dizm on the track ‘Are you Ready’
After another long unexplainable hiatus, Sean Dampte returned to the Afro music scene in March 2017 with another massive hit single 'Alignment' Ft. Rayce
Since then, we have seen a flurries of releases from Sean Dampte.

Sean Dampte’s music has been aired on international Music Stations such as MTV MTVUK, MTVBase, BET just to mention a few.
Never content to rest, when he’s not performing Sean Dampte is in his studio working and creating more tracks for his sophomore album which is yet untitled.
