Biography
Emerging from the pumpjack-speckled prairies and woodlands of Southeast Texas, Mike Parrish and Sammy Hundley are boastful of their heritage and proud of their Texas roots. When they were kids you might have found these guys walking the railroad tracks that led them to the overpass at FM Hwy 770 in their hometown of Hull, Texas or building a tree house while they dreamed out loud of their future exploits with a band they planned to call "Black Diamond." Often were the times when a stereo served as their amplifiers, Mike's living room sofa served as a stage while brooms and mops made perfect air guitars to the blaring music of bands like KISS, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Led Zeppelin. They'd play those air guitars and leap from Mrs. Parrish's sofa just as they've finally leapt onto the European and Texas Music scene.

Life seemed to have simply gotten in the way of their childhood dream as they grew up and moved away from their small home town but the dream remained alive through 30 years of perpetual motion. When fate landed Mike and Sammy back in in Hull, they picked up right where they'd left off almost as if there had never been any time or distance between them. Sammy had become an accomplished musician and band leader while Mike was a successful Texas Peace Officer. They built their own studio and began working on Mike's solo album entitled "Texas in the Man." That title track embodies their love of their home state with the line, "It's not about the man in Texas it's the Texas in the man."

The solo album was released in September 2007 and has received GREAT reviews from all over the world. While the Parrish-Hundley duo begins work on United States airplay, they are also completing a duo album entitled "Southbound Train" which is expected to be released in very early 2011. "Texas in the Man" has been doing rather well in European countries and at the time of this writing, 8 singles from the "Texas in the Man" CD and 1 single from the "Southbound Train" album have made the European Country Music National Top 40 Charts 27 times in 11 different countries.
