Gardin, Jr. is an Honorably Discharged Army Veteran and current Police Chaplain with the Monroe County Police Department anointed and appointed to comfort and console those lost and in need of encouragement and direction, whether for justice or Faith, all the while exemplifying righteousness for the Kingdom. A stalwart advocate of education, community and ex-offender rehabilitation, Pastor Osco E. Gardin, Jr., who also possesses a Masters of Divinity and Honorary Doctorate in Humanities, is Senior Pastor of the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church (EMBC) and remains actively involved with various local, social and civic organizations, impressively lauding him membership on more than 12 community, city, county, state and national boards. Pastor O. E. Gardin, Jr. has been married to his wife and First Lady J. Latricia Gardin for 25 years and they have been endowed with three children; daughter, Shameia, a Winston Salem State University alumni, and sons, Osco III, an alumni of North Carolina A&T State University and Jarred Lamar, a second generation military specialist and seaworthy recruit to the US Navy.
