Biography
From Ten Sleep, Wyoming, Jalan Crossland is widely acclaimed by audiences, critics and his musical peers as a premier acoustic guitarist and entertainer.
Along with dozens of regional contest awards, his extraordinary guitar work earned him National Fingerstyle Championship honors in 1997 and the State
Championship Flatpick Title in his home state in 1999. He is a talented vocalist, banjo player, songwriter, and an engaging showman. In February 2013, Jalan
received the Wyoming Governor’s Arts Award. He’s only the second musician in the past decade to receive the honor which recognizes artists, arts organizations
and patrons who have displayed excellence in and outstanding service to the arts in Wyoming. Although guitar is his primary instrument, his banjo tunes are
always a highlight of the show. Jalan performs year-round with a mix of solo concerts and shows with his band.
"Poor Boy Shanty" is Jalan's first album and was released in 2000.
