Biography

Gary Ward has re-united with "Freddy Fender" bandmate - drummer Billy King, "Random Access" bandmate - bassist Casey Sieverman, and added free lance guitarist/singer Dave West to form Gary Ward & Friends. Together, they recorded Gary's song "I've Already Played That Song", which was picked up by the Nationally/Globally syndicated radio program "Legends of Country Music In The Making" and has been played on radio stations in Australia and New Zealand. Gary was recently featured in the October 2007 issue of Artistlaunch Magazine at http://www.artistlaunchmag.com/issue/2007/10/.

Gary has been playing music since the early 70s, playing all over South Texas and in Houston. He played with Freddy Fender in 74/75. During the 70s, Gary also played with Howard McLaughlin, Cid Sanchez (Cid later played with John Mayall and the Blues Breakers) and Chris Layton (Chris later played with SRV and Double Trouble). Gary spent a long time playing with Alex Bayarena and Rick Montez in Corpus Christi and all over south Texas. Other Musicians Gary's played with in the Corpus Christi area include: Sammy Stephens, Billy King, Johnny Shubert, Ray Martinez, A.C. Cavazos, Lew Tamez, Ron McElroy,Clarence Hubbard, Dean Bryzowski, Don Pierce, Ricky Sanchez, Eric Wright (from Tacoma Wa.), Steve Paulson, and Mike Loosemore. In Houston, during the 80s, Gary played with Larry Carr, Casey Sieverman, Ed Bade, Ron Washington, Sylvan Rossi, and Paul Labarbara. All of these musicians were Gary's friends and influenced his music in one way or another. Gary's song "Questions" was featured on the Nationally/Globally syndicated Blues Deluxe show from September 12 to September 18, 2004.
