Our Pickin’ On selections this month rank as some of our all-time best sellers, which is not surprising when you look at who we’ve paid tribute to on the releases. Pickin’ & Singin’ is our bluegrass celebration of Garth Brooks, the original Country Music arena superstar. Speaking of which, no one has filled up more arenas for as long as The Rolling Stones, whose biggest hits are spun

We’re wrapping up the month with something a little different, reaching back to a trio of jam band albums from the CMH catalog. Southern rock all-stars The Allman Brothers have their deep-fried classics twist-and-turned by a line-up of incredibly diverse jam acts. That same line-up also creates unexpected and eclectic renditions of songs by Frank Zappa, the godfather of experimental rock music. Putting a nice big bow on the jam band selection we’re gifting you is Up All Night, a jam band tribute to Talking Heads that features a superb slate of some of the best bands in the jam scene, including an opening track by Umphrey’s McGee.”
