“It’s October, which means it’s time for the spooky, the scary, and the offbeat. In keeping with the spirit, we are featuring a couple of albums by Vitamin String Quartet that pay tribute to classic films tailor-made for this time of year. On Vitamin String Quartet: Tribute to The Nightmare Before Christmas, you can hear the group’s stripped-down all-string sound on 12 songs from the all-ages Halloween film favorite. Then, with Blood-Curdling Strings: VSQ Pays Tribute to Horror Classics, the quartet takes that same approach to the music from 15 terrifying all-timers, including THE EXORCIST, THE SHINING, JAWS, ROSEMARY’S BABY, PSYCHO, and, of course, HALLOWEEN.

Rockabye Baby! is also part of the action this month as we are presenting some of the brand’s darker and heavier contributions to its catalog. This includes albums featuring lullaby renditions of Nine Inch Nails, Tool, and Metallica. We’re also dusting off some delicacies from the CMH vaults, including Heart Trouble, the Wanda Jackson album featuring members of
