Spoken:
Anybody here ever been to the Opryland Hotel,
Lord, I spent a lifetime lost there one day
I was up there for the big Grand Masters Fiddlers Convention, they have one of those each year to pick out the top fiddlers in the country.

A few years ago I was there and after the event they have this big get together for all the fiddlers there at the hotel.

I got there a little early and I come up on none other than Big Tige, awe fiddler extraordinaire.
Yeah, We decided we'd sit here a while 'til somebody come along to tell us where this here party was going to be.

In just a few minutes of all the people in Nashville, Tenn. who would know where anything was, the person walked up. Mr. Roy Acuff.

So there we was Big, Tige, Mr. Roy and me, and we took off through the Opryland Hotel looking for the fiddlers party.

Chorus:
Big Tige, Mr. Roy and me wondered around endlessly trying to find where to go
The memory means so much, a treasure that could not be touched of Big Tige, Mr. Roy and me.

Spoken:
Well after a ways, there we was, there was the room, we opened the door and there it wasn't.
This was just the beginning. We did this three more times. As we went, the progression grew. Why we got up to nearly 20 fiddlers with instruments in hand.
We looked like an orchester going through the airport. Finally, Mr. Roy was there just a shaking his head.
We noticed Big Tige slip over in the corner, he asked this feller something, and he took out like a light.

Mr. Roy looked at me, I looked at him.
We decided that Big Tige was gonna go find that place, come back and tell all the rest of us. You know what. We decided we would save him the trouble.

There we was, Big Tige, Mr. Roy and me. We went up these stairs, we went down this hall, we went to the left, we went to the right, and there it was.
The men's room. We waited. When Big Tige came out, we all applauded.

Chorus:
Big Tige, Mr. Roy and me wondered around endlessly trying to find where to go
The memory means so much, a treasure that could not be touched of Big Tige, Mr. Roy and me.

of Big Tige, Mr. Roy and me.
