Biography
Way Up boast an astonishing pedigree both in pedigree and potential.

In this age of formulaic performers based on flimsy foundations, the boys – quarried from traditional Scottish granite, have been there, seen it, done it and to the delight of their ever growing international fanbase – still doing it. Way Up’s inspirational durability is of the quality of ancestral legends. With their newly completed EP Lovely Cry and an album due for release at the end of 2009, theirs has been a long, wonderful and winding road to success.

Frontman Scott Kerr cut his musical teeth back in the day at bars, clubs and the University circuit throughout Scotland honing his songwriting acumen along the way. Now enjoying international success with his Dance music heard worldwide in clubs as far apart as LA and London he heads up his first love – writing, recording and performing Rock music with Brian Scott, Brian Rankin and Jim Ronnie, all seasoned musicians known since school days.

The band – both as individuals and collectively have enjoyed working with diverse acts as Screaming Lord Such and Big Country, at charity event performances, residencies at the legendary Spanish L'Hostal Club, numerous live radio and TV appearances. Jim Ronnie alone (Songwriter and guitars) widely recognised as one of the finest Blues/Rock guitarists of his generation and founder member of Heavy Metal pioneers Iron Claw has shared the stage with The Mick Abrahams Band, Juicy Lucy, Tear Gas, Spencer Davis Group, The Kinks, Pink Fairies, Barclay James Harvest and East of Eden. Most recently the band appeared live on Sky TV in September 2008 and as guests at the UK’s biggest Music show - Music Live weekend in November 2008, impacting enough to have been invited back for November 2009.

Way Up are enjoying the momentum that Lovely Cry has generated, having already been picked up by Radio Stations throughout the UK, most recently guesting on Radio in their old haunting ground of Glasgow with interview invitations coming from as far afield as Toronto, California, Australia and Canada.

To be part of their future and not apart from it, Way Up are available for bookings, interviews and appearances.

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
