Biography
Turning Ground came onto the bluegrass scene in 2013 and since that time have gained a very large fanbase with their original material and strong harmonies. Based out of Salyersville, KY, Turning Ground has been blessed to have two previous releases with their debut project, March 2, 2012 and their 2014 release, Cell of Mine.
With Cell of Mine it introduced them to a much larger radio audience and helped them on the festival circuit as well. In 2014, they were invited to compete in OBX Bluegrass Island's inaugural band competition in Manteo, NC where they took first place. Their momentum carried over into 2015 with it being their busiest schedule to date, giving the band the opportunity to work some of the biggest festivals on the east coast.
With It Is Finished, it gave the band the chance to show a different side than what alot of fans have seen up to this point. When they asked for a gospel project the band knew exactly what they wanted to do. It Is Finished is a good mix of the traditional gospel tunes and Nathan's originals you can hear Turning Ground playing in churches all across Eastern Kentucky. Whenever you have the chance and they are in your area, be sure to take in one of their shows!
