Biography
The Sixxis are taking on the world of rock, mustering their might and intensity in a musical storm that is going to flood the mainstream music world with a new resonant and thunderous sound. The product of vigorous
musical training and a passionate devotion to their various instruments, The Sixxis are a band of true musicians. Their classical, rock, and jazz backgrounds allow them to toy with time signatures and syncopation, to grasp the magnetism of robust dynamics, and to focus on the individual mastery of each respective instrument while continuing to be a cohesive whole.
Since their formation in 2006, the band has undergone various member rotations, genre swaps, and typical indie complications; yet, this young alternative rock ensemble from Atlanta, Ga. has remained true to their
vision, cultivating their avant-garde sound as well as their burgeoning audience, undeterred by adversity and willing to shake the world of music with their power. The Sixxis plays “music for the sake of music,” says
Vladdy Iskhakov, lead singer and guitarist. “We all agree on that, and it’s that kind of musicianship, kind of chemistry, that lightning in a bottle type of thing, that makes us who we are.”
Writing original progressive alternative rock music in the style of The Dear Hunter or Muse and drawing inspiration from the early 90s progressive
pop groups Faith No More and King’s X, as well as grunge bands such as Alice in Chains and Soundgarden, The Sixxis are known for their soaring harmonies, lyrical complexities, and vibrant live show. Their first album was produced by Grammy Award winning producer Malcolm Springer.
The Sixxis are Vladdy Iskhakov (lead vocals, guitar, violin) Cameron Allen (lead guitar, keys, vocals) Mark Golden (bass, synth), Josh "JBake" Baker (drums, percussion, pads, vocals). Get Ready! Give it a listen. The SixxiS are the gathering storm in the distant horizon: steeped in full-bodied power and reveling in their echoing tumult. The storm is gathering, crank
it up, let’s rock.
