Biography
Terry & Debra Luna - (Southaven, MS)
This duet consists of husband and wife Terry and Debra Luna. The group first formed on the West Coast several years ago where they ministered in churches, concerts and state and county fairs in California, Oregon and Nevada until they all relocated to the Tennessee area. After years of working in their respective home churches as worship leaders and music ministers they found themselves as a duet again after a reunion concert in 2009. The purpose of their ministry is to honor and proclaim the Christian message through song. They pray that their songs are uplifting and encouraging to the body of Christ. Blending Southern and Country Gospel with an occasional dash of bluegrass, their unique sound is best described as Southern/Country Gospel. Their latest project "Look Up," has eleven songs all written by Debra and Terry Luna. The songs are encouraging, uplifting and sometimes fun, while some are poignant and reflective. "Don't You Ever Give Up" has been played on Country Gospel Radio for several months; "Look Up" speaks of the challenges we face in the world today but reassures us that there is "hope, peace and amazing grace" when we put our trust in Jesus! With a traditional bluegrass track of fiddle, acoustic guitar, mandolin and bass, "He Stepped Out Of The Tomb" is a beautiful song featuring Debra on lead vocals that tells the story of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Diana sings "There's A Stirring," which has become a favorite in churches and concerts.
They are currently working on a new project; songs include "The Climb," "I Want To," "The Old Man," "Here Comes The Storm" and others. Look for the new project this fall (2012.)
Terry & Debra Luna are members of the Southern Gospel Music Association of Mississippi, The Gospel Music Artists Association, The Tennessee Country Gospel Music Association and BMI.
