Biography
Here is the Sortin the Mail story.

So Bobby & Willie started doing some old brothers duet numbers. Willie shared some tunes he wrote that his other band would not play because the tunes were a bit less than family friendly. & Sortin the Mail was born.

We got this "kid" Alex Genova to play banjo. He went to Berkley and is now finishing at East Tenn. State. We got a bass player, Brad Aster. Then into our lives came Rin Ribble. There was plenty of testosterone in the band but the level went through the roof when the six foot tall purple hair girl jazz fiddle player joined the band. Now Rin has developed her BlueGrass chops over the last four years and is a formidable player. & adds a unique voice with her harmony and lead vocals.

So the Kid ran off and joined a traveling Bluegrass band, we found "Beefus", Matt Amati. He was an electric banjo player in some kind alternative universe rock and country electric band. Now Matt has stepped up, unplugged and is playing some bluegrass banjo.

So we got some Bluegrass chops, we got tunes you will hear nowhere else.

We have 2 CD's. The latest CD "Boots" came out in Dec 2016.
It has tunes that carry their own stories.
There is a classic Mac Wiseman number "I'll still write your name in the sand"
So Willie Jones wrote the Wisconsin version of that classic. Our new classic is "Writing her name in the snow".
Our CD has tunes about Kissing your cousin, playing twister in the nude, a stalker, dating your sister, an enabler and a cautionary tale, Don't get drunk in front of Grandpa.

Sortin the Mail is a regional band out of Southern Wisconsin and is looking to break free and spread our Bluegrass tunes to the rest of the US.

Please help us escape from Wisconsin to anywhere (except maybe ________).
