Biography
Contemporary country singers Debbie and Julie Wade began singing together at the respective ages of 12 and 10, performing Everly Brothers and Patsy Cline songs throughout their native Massachusetts. After college the siblings pursued vastly different musical paths, however -- while Julie joined the cast of the "Country Music U.S.A." at the Opryland theme park, Debbie earned her Master's Degree from the New England Conservatory of Music. The Wades ultimately both settled in Nashville, resuming their collaboration by playing area showcases and writer's nights; hired as the house band at the famed Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, they were discovered by executives from the Blue Hat label, later touring in support of company co-owner Charlie Daniels. The Sisters Wade's self-titled debut album followed in mid-1999. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
