Biography
American songwriter and singer Roscoe Born has finally gotten around to releasing some of his works through Chowderhead Records with, "Let the Road Lead" and "Crazy Is As Crazy Does", in February of 2017.

His earlier career included songwriting and performing, both featured on daytime television. In the more recent years of his four-decade span of creating music, he has been commissioned to write for national media outlets.

In March 2018 ABC, Inc. featured, "The Only Day We've Got" on General Hospital's 55th anniversary episode.

As it goes in the recording industry, works have lists of credits. Within the body of much of his music, he gives his lifetime struggles a huge shout-out.

CRAZY IS AS CRAZY DOES
Initially singer/songwriter Roscoe Born performed “Crazy Is As Crazy Does” on his acoustic guitar for a record company employee. According to the Chowderhead Records staff member, the song could potentially be the next big thing for someone like Jimmy Buffett.

Chowderhead Records immediately approached Born about moving forward with recording a single. A couple of weeks later the song was produced at a studio in Brooklyn with credits including; Hugh Pool on guitars/percussion, Keith Christopher on bass and Keith Robinson on drums. If you’ve heard the song, needless to say, its evolution figuratively left Jimmy waiting for a taxi in Brooklyn.

The co-founder of the Florida-based record label who up until this time had never questioned Born’s creative decisions, was left speechless.

It was just six months earlier the record label had released a single written by Born that debuted at No. 3 on iTunes Latin New Release chart. Both Chowderhead Records and Born were pleased that against the odds, the song released in English and on the 4th of July (which fell on a Monday, a non-preferred day for industry releases,) would do so well.

Now at odds are the singer/songwriter and the record label who can’t seem to agree which version of “Crazy Is As Crazy Does” is better.

Is it a fluke that in less than 36 hours after posting :45 excerpts of the song on Chowderhead Records Facebook page that only boasts about 500 Followers, the song got 150K views and over 1500 Shares? Maybe.

When Born was asked for a quote about the song, this is what he provided to our publicist:
“Crazy Is As Crazy Does was inspired by a lifetime’s experience with the vagaries of human experience and expression.”

The record company’s co-founder (yep, it’s me) swiftly Googled the definition of “vagaries.”

plural noun: vagaries
an unexpected or inexplicable change in a situation or in someone’s behavior

Why am I not surprised? Crazy Is As Crazy Does.
