Biography
Rob is a Folk/Americana Artist based in North Carolina.
Music of a hundred years ago, from yesterday or today - whenever you place them, the songs of Rob McHale should be taught in school, because they reflect vibrant history, the value of tradition and living social comment. This North Carolina-based poet, musician and composer writes folk Americana songs that walk you through their narratives in an entirely involving way. They bring home the wealth of heritage and place it firmly in the present, they observe the days we live in and offer valuable meaning. “A socially conscious writer with intelligent lyrics” (Randy Walker, WSGE-FM, Dallas, NC).
”Fields , McHale’s sophomore release, has a more produced yet
personal feel to it. Laden with social commentary with historical
overtones, Fields is about things we have lost and things we
have found, a brush with history, home and family. The CD takes
you through the Civil War without choosing sides. It let’s you reflect
on the past through an honest and open window. Also included
among its ten tracks are a brief foray into Irish history and
reflective songs that focus on chances, family and the
environment – with good wishes to close out the disc.

Ranger, Historian, Author Michael Donahue, The Little Big Horn Battlefield National Monument,Crowe Agency, Montana, says " This [ Surrounded Again ] is the best song I have heard about Custer, and I have heard them all"
