THE IBMA’S WORLD OF BLUEGRASS CONFERENCE 2012 AND AIRPLAY DIRECT

AirPlay Direct is proud to have participated in, and to have had such a prominent involvement at the IBMA’S World of Bluegrass Conference 2012.

The IBMA announced a new annual slate of awards designed to recognize promising new talent in bluegrass music. AirPlay Direct provided prize packages for AirPlay Direct services to the award recipients in the music categories for the new IBMA Momentum Awards.  Congratulations to all that received this wonderful new award.

Recognized as the “Band of the Year” was Monroeville, a new band with young but veteran members, that released a self-titled EP on its own label in 2011.

Emily Bankester was recognized as Vocalist of the Year.

The three instrumentalists recognized this year include fiddler Alex Hargreaves who performs with Sarah Jarosz; bassist Samson Grisman with The Deadly Gentlemen; and Christian Ward, who plays fiddle with Sierra Hull.

AirPlay Direct also Co-Sponsored the DJ & Artists Networking Reception at the Nashville Conference Center on Tuesday, September 25th.  The room was packed, the food was great and a good time was had by all.

Robert Weingartz, Chairman & CEO - AirPlay Direct, sat on the panel for the PR & DJ Roundtable: "Getting Your Music on the Air" on Tuesday, September 25th. The panel was very informative and well attended.

Robert Weingartz and Lynda Weingartz, Executive VP of Operations - AirPlay Direct, provided personalized consulting sessions during the conference's "Mentor Sessions" on Wednesday, September 26th.  This was a great opportunity to connect one-on-one with the conference attendees.
