Three albums into their career and the three members of Rascal Flatts are at the top of their game. With their modern mix of country and pop and their boy band good looks, the band are showing the way for country music in the new millennium and already have a slew of gold and platinum albums and awards. With their glorious three-part harmonies and knack for picking hits it looks like the trio of Gary Levox, Jay DeMarcus and Joe Don Rooney are just getting warmed up.

Pickin’ On Rascal Flatts unplugs the pedal steel and electric guitars and tunes up the banjo, mandolin and fiddle. When the finest players in bluegrass turn their chops loose on a rocker like “Fast Cars & Freedom” or the slow-dance chorus of “When the Sand Runs Out,” the result is easy rolling fun. Rascal Flatts may have the hottest harmonies in country music, but you’ve never heard them like this, blended into smooth acoustic serenades.
