Biography
Take a step away from the Modern Rock sounds of today and let yourself be hypnotized by the nostalgic appeal of Wycked Synn.
Touring throughout the East Coast from 1985-1993, Ken Orth a guitar virtuoso from the old school has opened for bands like Cinderella, tearing up the stage playing original music. Unfortunately his band broke apart when the scene started breaking down. Never giving up his passion for music, Ken continued to write and record.
After auditioning several Bass players, Ken decided that Jerre LaMar would be a perfect match. Jerres low-end finger work is a product of 20 years experience playing in bands such as Race Bannon, Vision, Anti-M, and Cartoon City. Jerre credits his influences as Steve Harris, Geddy Lee, and John Young, for his ability to produce a unique sound.
Darrell White began playing drums at the young age of 12 in his hometown of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. Moving to southern New Mexico in 1982, he gained further experience playing with local rock bands. In 1988 he joined touring band, Wolf, traveling throughout the western states. In 1990 he and Gary Carrillo formed the band Hired Guns and later moved to Arizona and where they formed J.T. Ripper. After meeting Ken Orth in spring of 2003 and listening to the Wycked Synn material, Darrell auditioned and gladly accepted the offer to become part of the line-up.
In 2002, Ken contacted Bill Chavis of Chavis Records and everything started falling into place. July of 2003 saw the debut release of The Vision and the band received rave reviews from across the world.
Some 5 year later the the band is still alive with member changes and a revolving door of well wishers who think they can cut it in the studio until its actually time to deliver. With the 2nd album completely written, all it will take is the right vocalist to come in and nail it!
Stay tuned...
