Biography

The Spiritual Five have been singing for over 39 years, and originally had five members, al¬though there are now eight members. Willie Lawrence, who started singing with the group at age 16, is the only remaining original member. His younger brother, Jerry Lawrence, who sings baritone has been with the group for more than 20 years, Lawrence's nephew, Harrison Lynn, has been the group's drummer for 13 years. Alto Burks, bass guitarist and backup vocalists. James "Beau" Lawrence lead and backup vocalist. Timothy Blackshire, backup vocalists. James Earl McClendon, lead guitarist, Montez Reynolds backup vocals. Alto the surface of the group has changed somewhat over the years, the foundation has remained the same.
