"Wayne Taylor and Appaloosa" are a group of seasoned musicians who play predominantly original music from the bluegrass genre. The group features Mandolin Master Emory Lester, Award Winning Bassist Kene Hyatt, veteran 5 string banjo wizard Mark Delaney, and Wayne plays Guitar and sings lead vocals. In their first year they shared Festival Stages with some of bluegrass' greatest artists at: The Huck Finn Jubilee, Victorville, CA, Plymouth, CA, Lake Havasu, AZ, Myrtle Beach, SC, Prescott, AZ, and toured in Scotland, and England. They performed at The European World of Bluegrass in Holland and was selected on the official showcase at the International Bluegrass Music Association convention in Nashville, TN in 2010.
Wayne formed "Appaloosa" after retiring from the US Navy as a Navy Musician with the renowned country and bluegrass group "Country Current". During his 25 years of service he performed all 50 states, performed on the Good Morning America Show, The Today Show, The Grand Ole Opry, The Nashville Now Show, Sweden, Halifax Nova Scotia, Beijing China, and performed for Presidents Ronald Reagan, G.H. Bush, William Clinton, and G.W. Bush. Wayne was also the lead guitarist and vocalist for the US Navy's Orient Express in Yokosuka Japan.
