The Story:
Troubaduo is a U.S. National touring act who rejected Los Angeles record label offers and became homeless in 2009, in order to become full time singer/songwriters who kept the soul and art in their music. Living on the road, booking around 125 shows annually at U.S. bars while writing and co-producing their new release "We Live in the Gray", led to performing major U.S. Festivals, receiving International FM radio play, and playing with world renown artists such as Curt Bisquera (drums for Clint Black, Tom Petty, Alison Krauss, Johnny Cash, Etta James, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Bonnie Raitt, etc., now on tour with Sara Mclachlan).
Troubaduo shares responsible roles from the singing and instrumentation, to co-writing on all material. These two troubadours write a wide variety of material including Americana, rock, folk, blues, country, psychedelic, jazz, Gospel and soul with an emphasis on wailing vocals and intense lyrics. Claiming God as their guide their goal is to live a life of Peace and Love, harming and judging none of mankind.

"Not doing what the HEART says is suicide."

"Credit cards charged to the max, Uncle Sam caught me cheating on income tax"
"We know that we're not perfect, but together we can grow."

Bryson and Jill Van Cleve met while performing in 2008 at Poet Roni Girl's Acoustically Speaking in the historic Room 5 Lounge of Hollywood, California where famous artists such as Nat King Cole used to perform. They became great friends recording and performing together, then fell in love and got married later that year. As they both had the same desire to tour on the road full time, they decided to leave and loose their Los Angeles apartment and jobs, for a life and calling as U.S. National touring artists performing around 125 shows yearly. The duo still calls the road their home, but has roots from the concrete to the country including Jill's upbringing in a Southern California beach town, to Bryson's in Arkansas. They are California country folks with a positive outlook to live the one life they have been given, spreading peace and love. Troubaduo is a can't miss act coming to a town near you.

Some of their musical influences include:
Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals, Tracy Chapman, Van Morrison, Chris Whitley, Ella Fitzgerald, Willie Nelson, Johnny and June Carter Cash, Malcolm Holcombe, SRV, Ryan Adams, the Allman Brothers, Stevie Wonder, Mavis Staples, Aretha Franklin, Bob Dylan, Buddy Holly, Otis Redding, Elvis, Dave Matthews Band, Lonnie Johnson, Cliff Eberhardt, Etta James, Ryan Bingham, Robert Johnson, Slash, David Crowder, Fiona Apple, The Band, The Avett Brothers, Ray Charles, Mr. Steve Earle, Tom Waits, Blues Traveler, John Hiatt and of course the Beatles.

The duo supports non-profits and organizations including PreemptiveLove.org, a reputable company that raises money and awareness for children in Northern Iraq whose bodies have been highly affected by chemical warfare and need new hearts. Troubaduo also strongly encourages folks to check out KenyaJim.com to see how you can help their friend Jim Cooper stop child prostitution and hunger. Also visit persecution.com & prisoneralert.com for free ways to help those imprisoned for the religious beliefs.
