That Rumba Beat
I like to sleep late in the morning
Ham and eggs ‘bout 2 p.m.
Afternoons I watch some Opra
I tune the soaps in now and then
I roll in town and play some eight ball
Shoot some dice down at the den.

You know I love to watch some football
Sometimes I go and see a fight
If you want to go out fishing
There’s a good chance that I might
There’s only one place that I’ll be
On any Saturday night

I like to dance with my baby
To that rumba beat
I move her all around the dance floor
I smell here hair so fresh and sweet
She looks so right, she feels so fine man
I can barely stand the heat

(Solos)

You know some people like to disco
Some like to two-step I’ve been told
I guess some people do the polka
Some other step that they’ve been sold
But once you do the rumba,
Those other steps will leave you cold

I like to dance with my baby
To that rumba beat
I move her all around the dance floor
I smell here hair so fresh and sweet
She looks so right, she feels so fine man
I can barely stand the heat
