Biography
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Robson has lived in many cities in Brazil. He also lived for 3 years in Cleveland-OH. He start to compose songs when he was 12 years old. The many cultural influences that he has may explain in part the variety of genres of his songs. He composed with Nonato Luiz, Henrique Annes, Filó Machado, Amaury Angelo and Adriano Campagnani, among others. He just finish to record and release his sixth album which has the participation of Wilson Sideral, Filo Machado, Mariana Nunes and Grupo Amaranto. The musical direction and arrangements were made by Adriano Campagnani , who also played bass, electric guitar and acoustic guitar in the album. Deangelo Silva , Filo Machado and Daniel Silveira also made arrangements for the album. His fifth album had the participation of Carla Villar and Glaucia Coutinho, singers from Minas Gerais. The arrangements were made by Adriano Campagnani , who also played bass, eletric guitar and acoustic guitar in the album. The drums were played by Andre Campagnani and Hugo Soares. Claudio Farias participated in one track (Legos) playing Keyboards. Participated in the fourth CD, Limbico Trem, Filo Machado, Cibele Codonho and the American lyricist and singer Holly Holmes. Holly and Robson composed You, Cat and me one of the 16 songs of the CD Limbico Trem. Besides Filo Machado other important Brazilian musicians performed in this álbum: Nenen (Esdras), Adriano Campagnani, Ricardo Gomes , Bethoven Jr., Amaury Angelo, Fabiano Martins, Marquinho Abjaud, Flavio Barreto and Daniel Silveira. Percussion: Orlando Caribe, Ricardinho e Rogério Sam. Arrangements were made by Amaury Angelo, Adrianao Campagnani, Filó Machado and Daniel Silveira, who composed with Robson the song "Pra você ” (For you). In the first album, the long play Confraria, recorded in 1980, Robson Santos invited Sizão Machado, Filó, Celso Machado and the singer Nilza Maria to perform with him. Many songs composed with Nonato Luiz were included in this album. In the second album , the CD Profissão de Menino, Robson recorded only his own songs, with exception of vertigem made with Filó Machado. The singer and composer Tadeu Franco, Cibele Conho and Filó Machado participated in the recordings. Filó was responsible for the arrangements. In the third CD Robson divided with Beto Guedes the interpretation of “Verão” and with Filó and Roberto Gueiros other songs. The arrangements were made by Amaury Angelo. Besides being a composer and singer, Robson Santos is a scientist and has more than 200 publications in the cardiovascular field. The songs were not left behind. He has composed more than 150 songs which includes Baiões, Rocks, Sambas, Jazz and Bossa Novas.
