Biography

Since 2004, the Emmy-Nominated songwriter has been writing music for ABC/Disney, where a majority of her songs have seen airplay. Whether performed by Rie herself or other vocalists, her lyrics and melodies have captivated a wide range of fans, from Indie followers to loyal Daytime viewers. Not only was she the voice of SOAPnet’s first original series, “General Hospital: Night Shift”, but numerous placements on various networks for many other primetime shows (like "Ghost Whisperer", "Dirt", "Law & Order", "Smantha Who", "Bionic Woman", and other various MTV, ABC & NBC shows), have given Rie a graceful span of eclectic range for this chameleon-like composer. Her first theme song also recently made it’s debut Aug 26th as the CW launched Blonde Charity Mafia.

Rie grew up in the theatre, and began performing at a young age. She also spent years learning the ropes “below the line”, & on the business side of entertainment. Her current modeling credits include IBM, Kodak, At&t, among several others, and her TV & Film credits span at least 10 years. She continually has at least one commercial spot running, and is now taking on creative production over an animated project with band mate, Tommy Walter. The duo’s recent creation of Oliver The Penguin has perked several production companies interests.

Now sprouting her new release on her 2 year-old indie label, I Miss You Records, she’ll officially debut her work this fall. Although she’s launched several other projects, “A Moment” will be more true to the artist’s dark, moody, atmospheric tones and epic melodies.
