Midwezt consist of lead singer/songwriter Charleen Armitage guitarist singer/songwriter Mick Davison and bass player Rex Gates.

Singer/songwriter Mick Davison[Once signed to decca records and opened up for many great artists, these include Rolling Stones/Van Morrison/Moody blues and more! Charleen Armitage a prolific songwriter with strong emotional vocals also manager of midwezt, Rex Gates on bass [Rex has played with Jerry Lee Lewis/Chuck Berry/Brenda Lee and was once a member of the checkmates .

we used to be country rock but we're probably more country pop....

Charleen and mick formed midwezt originally as a duo in 2005 and after a year playing various venues and building up their fan base decided to add lead guitar and bass guitar which saw them record and release their first 6 track EP (BEGGIN FOR KINDNESS) 2 tracks off the EP (WHERE WILL I BE and TEN TO ONE) were regularly played on radio stations in UK and U.S.A and with this, gained them a place in the I.P.O (international pop overthrow) which is an american music organisation which also allowed them to showcase their music at the cavern liverpool .

2008 saw midwezt record their 2nd 6 track EP but this time a live recording,A successful launch was held with t,shirts badges etc and their fan base became stronger.
After 3 years playing and writing and after a break, midwezt are back with a new line up and a new sound and have just finished recording their Debut Album [Closer] which was launched at freedom in soho London.

We're looking forward to next year where we'll be promoting our album ,we have skype interviews lined up in Australia USA and Canada and we are also planning a mini tour in the USA
