Biography
Lynda Kay carries the torch for the heartbroken and fills the void with 12 fully orchestrated original compositions that conjure the ghosts of classic country’s past. Her timeless songs reflect the influences of fellow legendary Texas artists Roy Orbison and Willie Nelson, and her rare contralto voice harkens back to the unforgettable range and style of Patsy Cline.
Lynda Kay’s debut solo album, Dream My Darling, features her haunting songs, deeply resonant voice, and twangy Gretsch guitar, and includes the duet “All I Ever Wanted” with Billy Bob Thornton of The Boxmasters. (Track 9)
Dream My Darling was recorded in Los Angeles, California, mixed and mastered by Grammy Award Winners Eric Liljestrand (Lucinda Williams) and Gavin Lurssen (Allison Krauss & Robert Plant), and produced by guitarist Mike Butler and Jonny "Coffin" Edwards (founder/owner of Coffin Case).
Lynda Kay is the Official Endorsee of the Gretsch Knotty Pine Roundup guitar and Gretsch Variety Amplifier.
