How did it come to this me standing on the edge
My hope is holding on this pebble covered ledge

I barely see you there you guard the other rim
Of our great heart’s divide your footing just as thin


I lined up alibis my fingerhold excuse
I know you saw the lies you always wanted truth

I want to call to you and say I’ll fight for us
But shouting is no use each echo looses trust

We’ve reached this canyon wide our map just did not show
