Biography

Karl Rorvik has been independently composing, recording, producing and performing his own original music for several years now. So far he has self released one full length CD of original music and an EP of Beatles covers. On those albums he plays everything and overdubs it all into a bare bones recording set up.

About 8 months ago he formed Karl Rorvik and the Crafty Bastards, to perform his music live. Joe Izzo plays drums and Ted Rybkka plays bass. They started out slow, playing dive bar shows for handfuls of people and getting paid only in beer. Since then though, they've been growing their live following exponentially and have been booking lots of mid level Chicago bars/ clubs. So far they've had successful shows at Rabbit's bar/grill, Sully's Place, Martyrs, The Tonic Room, The Elbo Room and they will be going on a short DIY tour in August to the East Coast, as well as booking more dates around the city. They put on a very gritty, high energy live show and if you are a promoter looking for a band to really rock the roof off your place, look no further!
