Biography

J. Dallas Sword has been singing and
playing music for as long as he can
remember. Since he was a young
teenager, Dallas has performed in many
local talent shows as well as area
churches. In addition to being a
wonderful singer and song writer, he's
also a talented musician, playing rhythm,
lead, and bass guitar, piano, keyboard,
organ and drums.

J. Dallas Sword was born John Dallas
Sword, Jr. and raised in Panama City,
Florida, and his roots go deep. He is the
fifth generation of his mother's family to
live and work in Panama City. This
happily married father of two girls has
always dreamed of being a song writer
and recording artist. He began playing
the guitar at the age of nine. By age 12
he was playing the piano in church on
a regular basis. Traveling around the
country as his father played in a
Southern Gospel band, he was given
the opportunity to play and sing in a
variety of venues.

J. Dallas has been a hard working
individual all of his life. Starting his first
job at age fourteen and continuing to
today, he has been a manager /
supervisor in nearly every job
he has held. He is a natural born
leader . He has earned the
respect of all those who know him.
While pursuing his musical aspirations,
J. Dallas has never lost sight of his
family. His wife Deanna and two girls
Anna, and Alyssa (A.J.), are the
centerpiece of all his efforts. Trying
to give them the love and attention
they deserve while staying focused
enough to excel at work, actively
manage a singing career, and
produce a television show, is quite a
challenge. But you won’t hear him
complain, and all those close to him will
tell you that if a need arises, that he is
the first person to respond day or
night.

J. Dallas is the oldest of four children
born to John and Ann Sword. His
brother (Eric) and two sisters (Valerie
and Heather) have been singing with
him since they were all very little. While
none of them are pursuing careers in
music, Dallas still loves to sit around with
the family and his flat top fender he has
had since age 10 and sing the old
songs of their childhood that sparked
his ambitions so many years ago.
