Biography
California singer/songwriter Greg Rank began his music career
performing at historic McCabes Guitar Shop in Santa Monica CA.
He went on to form the trio "Never Together"featuring John Kramer on drums and Kevin Durkee on bass. They received local acclaim for their rockabilly rendition of "They Give Me Hope", a Greg Rank original.
Rank went on to perform his original music around LA at the
now infamous "Improv", "The Ice House", and "The Palomino Club".
He joined The National Academy of Songwriters and began pitching songs to A&M Records, Lorimar Telepictures, Sony Music and received a favorable review in Billboard Magazine for his song "Weekend Warrior" (also featured in the original movie "Elliot's War").
Greg has studied the craft of songwriting with the late tin pan alley songwriter Buddy Kaye, Motown Lyricist Kaye Parker, Sheila Davis, Steve Seskin, Molly Ann Larkin, Pete Luboff, John Braheny, Bonnie Hayes and Sunny Hilden
